Gym to street: wearing activewear beyond the studio
Good activewear has clean lines, so with one or two outer pieces it works outside the gym too. The trick is to add structure on top and keep the colours simple.
Start with a matching set
A one-colour set looks intentional. The SculptForm Mock-Neck Top & Leggings Set in black is the easiest place to start, because black reads as everyday wear rather than gym kit.
Add one structured layer
- An oversized hoodie or fleece zip jacket for travel days.
- A faux-leather jacket for evenings: the contrast between matte leggings and a shine finish looks deliberate.
- A long coat over everything when the weather turns.
Carry less
A small crossbody bag keeps your phone, card and keys on you, so you do not need a gym bag for the walk home. See our bags.
Men: the same rule
Training shorts or tapered joggers with a heavyweight tee or hoodie on top. Keep it to two colours. The men's activewear range is built around black, grey and earth tones for that reason.
Care
Wash training pieces inside out on a cool cycle and skip the tumble dryer. Heat is what wears stretch fabrics out fastest.
